During year 4, cadets complete the academy and advance their skills with self-reliance training. These skills would not only protect and preserve the life of the cadet should an emergency situation occur, but could also serve to save the lives of others. Season 4 also presents the cadet with ATV training. Each year, hundreds of teens are killed or injured in ATV accidents throughout the country. Safety training and awareness in this field is crucial to all youth hunters.

Cadets will also learn to craft their own arrow points in a flint knapping class. World class flint knapper Ed Mosher leads the course instructing cadets on this difficult and valuable skill. Fourth year cadets continue their pursuit of MRT qualifications in all shooting and archery categories. Cadets also engage with third year students in the “Ace of Aces” tournament to compete for shooting honors and prestige.
